Live music is so so This bar is supposed to be the happening bar in Surabaya located in the basement of Shangrila hotel. The bar is good but the current band has only one good singer the boy and the girl with the curly hair is rubbish.
Last nights visit on Friday the bar only comes to life around midnight and it is interesting to see the girls working to find a man for the evening. Would I go back, as there is not a lot of good choice in Surabaya.
Bar is in Shangri-La luxury hotel. Cool live music. Unfortunately full of money girls and this in a five star hotel. ShangriLa appears to put focus on money generation and not respecting the local ethics! Love the place, love the music, love the food.
A really great place to hang out with friends or couple. The later, the better :. In the basement of the Shangra-li hotel, which happens to be an excellent hotel with great amenities. Descent sized, and the music can go either way. Not overall my type of music, but the band is pretty descent, though their song selection is a bit weird. From older 80's songs, to new current hits and other cover songs being done by a band, almost like "professional" karaoke.
There isn't a lot of dance floor up front by the band, but there are two rooms to each side of the main area which has the bar in the center that provide ample space.
